What’s better for a gas range, stainless steel or white enamel with grey enamel top?
I’m looking to replace an electric range with a gas one, and have narrowed the selection down to the GE Profile Dual Fuel freestanding gas range. Should I get stainless steel or white enamel?
I’ve read that stainless steel is hard to clean and scratches easily. A white enamel stove even with a grey top where the burners are, just seeems like a cleaning nightmare. What would you buy?
Well, I would say before you make the investment look at consumer reports. The issue is not looks, but how well it is made. As far as look, it would have to fit in with the other appliances. If you have a few stainless steel appliances. (ss) then get SS. If not, well you will be replacing a lot of other appliances with SS and it is more money. I had SS and enamel, I like the enamel. There is nothing worse then kid prints on SS. The new trend is white enamel in kitchen.
